About Tom Rigney

A Bay Area native with a Master of Fine Arts from Harvard, Tom burst onto the scene with the legendary Western Swing band Back in the Saddle, winning a Bammie award in 1981 for their debut. He later joined Queen Ida’s Bon Temps Zydeco Band, touring worldwide and discovering a deep love for Louisiana dance music—Cajun, zydeco, and New Orleans grooves deeply infused into his style ever since.
