Get ready for an evening filled with familiar songs, great harmonies and the unmistakable sound of classic rock and soul. Now and Then, a Northern California band based in Davis, comes to Church Street Concerts in Grass Valley on Saturday, October 10, 2026, bringing a lively collection of music from the 1950s through the 1980s.

Now and Then describes its music as rock and soul from “Back in the Day,” combining strong lead vocals, three-part harmonies and an accomplished group of musicians.

The vocal lineup features Dianna Craig, Renona Wesley and Tevis Carbajal, whose three-part harmonies are at the heart of the Now and Then sound. They are joined by bassist Steve O’Neil, keyboard player and musical director Sergei Shkurkin, guitarist Beni Herevia and drummer Ward Spangler. Together, they create a full, energetic sound that combines polished musicianship with the relaxed fun of hearing favorite songs performed live.

Audiences can expect music inspired by some of the most memorable performers of several generations. Now and Then’s repertoire includes classic soul associated with groups such as the Temptations, the Supremes, the Stylistics and the O’Jays, along with early rock-and-roll favorites made famous by artists including Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison and vocal groups such as the Shirelles, the Platters and the Drifters. The band also reaches into the 1980s for additional crowd favorites.
