About Tom Rigney
A Bay Area native with a Master of Fine Arts from Harvard, Tom burst onto the scene with the legendary Western Swing band Back in the Saddle, winning a Bammie award in 1981 for their debut. He later joined Queen Idaโs Bon Temps Zydeco Band, touring worldwide and discovering a deep love for Louisiana dance musicโCajun, zydeco, and New Orleans grooves deeply infused into his style ever since.

After founding Flambeau in 2000, Rigney crafted a signature sound thatโs hardโdriving, melodic, and wildly danceable. Their repertoire blends original tunes by Rigney with classic Cajun, zydeco, and New Orleans staplesโplus flashes of Celtic, Eastern European, and swing influences for a truly unique sonic feast.
