QUARTERLY CONCERTS TO ENTERTAIN AND RAISE FUNDS TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY 

Award Winning Cellist Matthew Linaman of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music will perform at the historic Grass Valley United Methodist Church located at 236 Church Street, Grass Valley. The first concert theme is “Cello by Candlelight” and is Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 7pm. Tickets are $20 by cash or check and are available at the door or by calling 530-272-1946. Proceeds from the inaugural concert are dedicated to repairing the church bell tower which is in need of significant repairs. 

The performance will last 90 minutes with a brief intermission. During the intermission, complementary drinks and treats will be served. Donations for the treats and drinks are encouraged and gladly accepted. Parking is limited at the church and attendees are encouraged to use the public parking available on the street and near the Mill Street Walking Mall. 

ABOUT GRASS VALLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 

The Grass Valley United Methodist Church was established on September 28, 1849, with the original church being erected in 1855. The church supports the community through its outreach “Last Friday Supper” dinners serving free meals to the community on the last Friday of every month (except November and December), has a monthly “Pasty” sale of more than 900 pasty’s are baked and sold to raise funds to support community outreach, as well as many other community involvement projects and services. Church services are every Sunday at 10am and everyone is welcome to join the growing congregation.
